WrestleMania XXV
The event begins with the dark tag team match, to unify the tag team titles in a lumberjack match featuring John Morrison & The Miz vs. The Colons. This match is on the WrestleMania disc special features, so unlike the WM 24 Blu-ray collection, you don't need to change the discs in order to watch that before the event. The match is good for a dark match and the crowd is extremely alive through out the match. The ending is beautiful counter finisher.

The first match of the live event is the Money in the Bank ladder match, featuring eight superstars. The match is kind of dissappointing for MITB, since it doesn't include that many high spots. The ones that it includes are for example Shelton Benjamin's insane jump off the large ladder at ringside, killswitch off a ladder and Benjamin powerbombing MVP to the ringside. But the thing is, that's pretty much it. Definetly not the best ladder match.

At this point, we see footage from WrestleMania Axxess. It's always fun the see that and I hope one day I'll get to go there.
The next stop is 10 minutes of waste of time. The idea of Ms. WrestleMania Battle Royal with divas from past and present was good, but they didn't even give the past divas proper introductions. Actually, at the Blu-ray, they go from Axxess straight to the battle royal that's already started. The ending just makes it even clearer that WWE doesn't value the diva's division.

Then we have a 3-on-1 Handicap elimination match, where Y2J is set to take on Piper, Snuka and Steamboat, with "The Nature Boy" in their corner. The build up was ok, but I can't see the reason to waste Jericho's talent on matches like this. The match itself is fine, considering that Jericho is in the ring with two over 50 yrs olds and one 65 years old. I gotta give extra credit for Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, he looked really good and actually took couple bumbs! The aftermath tho, involving Flair and the actor Mickey Rourke is one of the lamest ideas ever done in WrestleMania.

Then we see a sibling rivalry culminating into an Extreme Rules match between the Hardy brothers, Matt and Jeff. This one really delivered! It might very well be the greatest Street Fight in WWE's PG era. We saw great use of chairs, WrestleMania poster, trash cans, grudge's and even a hoover! The two big spots were a table sanwhich and a leg drop off a huge ladder. I also gotta mention the hype video before the match, it was epic!

The next match was scheduled for one fall, and it was for the Intercontinental Championship, held by John "Bradshaw" Layfield. Before the match, JBL comes out promoting the match pretty well, talking about how months ago he had a WrestleMania-vision, of himself returning to Texas as the champion. Anyway, as Rey comes out and the match starts, it's over in less than 30 seconds. Yes. Once WWE gets Rey Mysterio back to WrestleMania, they put him in a 21 second match.

The next one is arguably the biggest match of the night, Shawn Michaels vs. The Dead Man. This match in my opinion is almost perfect. What it's lacking is a main event spot and a long, personal feud. HBK and Undertaker, both, had very personal feuds in 2008 (UT/Edge & HBK/Y2J), so with that kind of feud, this would had been a perfect match. If anyone would deserve to brake the Streak, that is Shawn Michaels. Once again, this match is epic. To quote Jim Ross right after the match, "As a wrestling fan, how could you ask for anything more?".

Then we have the triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship, Edge (c) vs. John Cena vs. The Big Show. For the first of all, what in the blue hell (People's quote ;)) is the Big Show doing in there? Why not make this a 1-on-1 match between Edge and Cena, that would had been better. Anyway, this is a good tripe threat. The story behind it wasn't exactly my favourite, but I can live with that. Basicly what happened was Edge's wife Vickie cheating Edge with the Big Show. The match was originally supposed to be Show/Edge, but Cena forced Vickie to put him in the match, or he would tell Edge about the cheating. She put Cena in the match, but Cena told Edge anyway. So in here, it was really every man for himself. The ending is pretty cool and to me the winner was unexpected.

Here we have the final look at the 2009 Hall of Fame class, basicly built around Stone Cold and Steamboat. It's placed well, right before the main event, so you get a little break.
And then the main event itself, Triple H vs. Rando Orton for the WWE Championship. And it was dissapointing. Really, really, dissapointing. The feud was amazing, so personal and successful! But there were no outside interferences at the match, and they weren't able to go extreme, because the stipulation was that both of them would lose the title if they got disqualified. What a dissapointing ending to such a great WrestleMania-feud! The crowd is also pretty much dead.

The disc 2 covers the Hall of Fame ceremony from saturday and the highlights of the 24 first WrestleManias.
I can't believe it was 20 years ago that I watched my first ever WRESTLEMANIA, back when it was Hogan versus Savage in the main event - so much has changed over the years and here we are in 2009 with the 25th Anniversary!
Filmed at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas the event opened with the absolutely electric "Money In The Bank" ladder match where CM Punk, Kane, Mark Henry, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, Christian, and Finlay battled it out for the number one contender placement for any WWE title at any time. The action was non-stop and very exciting, turning out to be one of the best and most creative ladder matches I've ever seen. (9/10)
Next on the card was the pointless and un-exciting Diva Battle Royale, which seemed to just be a stepping stone for a new "talent" in the WWE. Other than a bit of eye candy for us guys, this match is a bit of a waste of time. Luckily it's a pretty short one! (2/10)
Then there was the kind of match you'd expect from an anniversary edition of the event where the disrespectful Chris Jericho took on three of the greatest WWE legends of all time - "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, with the added bonus of THE WRESTLER star, Mickey Rourke at ringside. This match wasn't as good as it could have been, showing how old a past it the Hall of Famers are now rather than bringing anything new or nostalgic to the show, which surprised me as these were three of the best back in the 80s and early 90s. It felt like it was just a way to boost the movie and also bring a couple of legends to the show really. (4/10)
Possibly the highlight match of the evening for me was brother versus brother in an extreme rules match when Matt Hardy faced off against Jeff Hardy. Pretty much everything but the kitchen sink is used in this one and also has so much high-flying and near-impossible maneuvers, as you'd expect from these talented superstars. There's not a slow moment in this one and the finish is one of the best I've ever seen (10/10)
The Intercontinental title bout between the champion JBL and the challenger Rey Mysterio was possibly one of the worst title fights I have ever seen. It's over after about 20 seconds, so if you blink you will literally miss it! (2/10)
Next up was what will go down as one of the greatest matches of all time. Undertaker vs. HBK. out of all Taker's previous 16 wins at mania, no one came as close to beating him then mr wrestlemania. it was truly a must see for all pro wrestling fans, (10/10)
John Cena's entrance to the triple-threat World Heavyweight title match with The Big Show and Edge was one of the most memorable in the history of WRESTLEMANIA, who came down the aisle with a group of look-alikes. The match itself was pure adrelenaline-filled entertainment that couldn't even keep inside the ring. Out of the three main events, this was my favourite of the night. (9/10)
Finally the 2009 ROYAL RUMBLE winner, Randy Orton faced Triple H for the WWE Title. This was another fairly good match-up with an added stipulation that if Triple H was disqualified, Orton would win the title. This was fairly frantic and fast-paced. The finale wasn't as great as I thought it could have been but generally it was a pretty enjoyable match. (8/10).
Overall if this was a regular event this would have been fantastic but as the 25th anniversary of the greatest event of them all, this was quite a bit of a letdown. Keeping in mind that in past WRESTLEMANIAs we've seen guests such as Mike Tyson, Mohammed Ali, Run DMC, Mr T, Rage Against the Machine, Pamela Anderson, Burt Reynolds, Floyd Mayweather and Lawrence Taylor to just name a few, having just Mickey Rourke and the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, this wasn't as memorable as it should have been at all. It was a fairly entertaining night of wrestling though and is one I will most likely watch again in years to come but is nowhere near the high quality of WRESTLEMANIAs we have all seen over the past 25 years. Let's just hope next year's will be more memorable.

grafica spettacolare e match imperdibili in particolare jeff hardy vs. matt hardy, senza contare i fantastici highlight di tutte le Wrestle Mania! insomma lo consiglio a tutti (in blu-ray meglio ancora).
