I can't give this Wrestlemania any less than five stars. Regal vs. RVD was a great opener, DDP vs. Christian was excellent, Kurt Angle dragging Kane to a decent match was great to watch, Undertaker vs. Ric Flair was a superb brawl with an amazing top rope Superplex, Austin's total destruction of Scott Hall was fantastic, the Tag Team Four Way was decent enough, The Rock vs. Hogan was a classic with red hot atmosphere throughout, and the main event was satisfactory. The only duds were Goldust vs. Maven (boring), Edge vs. Booker T (lifeless and dull) and the three way women's match.
So, all in all, you should DEFINITELY purchase this classic Wrestlemania!

In my opinion this Wrestlemania marked the end of the attitude era and in all the right ways. Plenty of thrills to keep you on the edge of your seat. In my opinion X-seven and 18 are as good as each other and will never be beaten by todays WWE standards. Personal opinions on the matches;
RVD vs Regal: The entire crowd gasps when Regal attempts a half nelson suplex on RVD that looks extremely painful and leaves you wondering how the match went on. Good ending maybe a bit predictable but the right man won. 3.5/5
DDP vs Christian: Wasn't expecting this to be that entertaining but was surprised when I found myself enjoying it. Christian deserved the title more though. 3.5/5
Goldust vs Maven: This match was too short to be anything spectacular. The best moments were at the start when Goldust nearly slammed Maven through the security barricade. That's an ouch moment that Raw would freeze in a replay by todays PG era. Would rather see a long hardcore match as opposed to backstage action to fill up the time (although it was mildly entertaining) between matches with around 5 title changes that went back to the same man at the end! 3/5
Kurt Angle vs Kane: Anybody remember a good showing from The Big Red Monster (as he's know today) from the past three years? Here's the real Big Red MACHINE showing exactly why he deserves to be a top contender in the business. Kurt Angle rarely had a bad match and his ability to make other superstars shine really shows. Even though Kane lost it's still great to see a seven foot guy approx able to perform an enziguri kick which catches Kurt pretty well! Miss the Kane from that era. 4/5
Undertaker vs Ric Flair: Very impressed with Flair in this match able to keep up with the deadman. Although Ric admits in his HOF induction that he messed up a bit in this match, it's certainly one of his best in the WWF/WWE. An all out brawl is best to describe this match. Taker sells himself really well as the heel and whenever Flair was building momentum. Nice tombstone which really does look like Flair got driven head first to the ground. If you don't know who won then let me give you a clue; He's currently 18-0 at Wrestlemania! 4.5/5
Booker T vs Edge: Worst match of the night in my opinion. Fans are only into it because Edge is from Toronto and it comes as no surprise who wins. Hard to remember any moment worth noting. First Wrestlemania Spinaroonie maybe? Edgaroonie? As Austin would say; WHAT? 2.5/5
Scott Hall vs Steve Austin: Maybe it's just me but I wasn't too fond of this match. Austin seemed to be having neck and knee problems which he showed in the match by Scott Hall targeting these areas. Match dragged a little bit because of this and it seemed slow paced as opposed to the vicious, fast and ruthless Austin of the past. Nash seemed to be there just to fill the gap when Austin was hurting and needed some rest time. Hall completely and stupidly insults us all by overselling the second Stunner way too much. He must've jumped 3 feet. Worse than The Rock taking them perhaps? (Mania 15, X-Seven and 19) 3/5
Hardy Boyz vs Dudley Boyz vs APA vs Billy & Chuck: Great tag team action from great tag team specialists. Lasted long enough, was entertaining enough and showcased each team at what they were good at. 4/5
The Rock vs Hollywood Hulk Hogan: Ok the dream match that nearly everybody was hyped about. Yeah it's true that these two are responsible for the popularity of sports entertainment and where it is today but I could name a few more deserving figures. Hogan as popular as he was/is just to me defines a completely different era where having 4-5 moves was the standard and acceptable in the 80's and early 90s. The Rock was the man doing all the work. Hogan simply had to raise his hand or boot, extend it somewhat to make it look kinda realistic and The Rock acts as if he'd been hit by a bus; flailing about, flying around the ring making Hogan look superhuman. No disrespect to Rock either; he was one of my favourites but any match pitching two superstars from nearly two decades apart against each other is a bad idea. Hogan never tried anything new to evolve in the company. He stuck with the same moveset he's always had. It's Wrestlemania Hogan! Try something new that fans haven't seen 10000+ times on Raw Smackdown Superstars Nitro Thunder etc. V Glad they didn't give Hogan the victory like they did at Summerslam 2005 with Michaels vs Hogan. Best moments are the staredowns to be honest as the crowd turn on The Rock throughout the match until he wins then suddenly it's like they loved him all along! 2.5/5
Trish vs Lita vs Jazz: Decent womens bout. Questionable placing on the match card. (Why not Taker vs Flair in Rock vs Hogan place and that match here with the womens title match being fifth?) A little rushed in my opinion and Trish didn't seem to get much in ring action with the match essentially Lita vs Jazz. Nice fisherman's suplex off top rope, lucky if we see that from male superstars on the weekly shows now. 3/5
Triple H vs Chris Jericho: As big a fan of Triple H as I am, I still think to this day that Jericho should have won and cleanly as well. Triple H could've hit the pedigree and injured his leg again (pretend) allowing Jericho to make Triple H tap out to the walls of Jericho. It would've been the biggest upset of the event and could've lead the story further culminating in a better reason for their Hell in a Cell match at Judgment Day two months later with Triple H winning the title or something. Too predictable but a great main event and some great interference by Stephanie till she gets pedigreed. Glad Jericho got the chance of being a champion in the main event in Canada at Wrestlemania. 4.5/5

Wrestlemania XVII is still my favourite and I never imagined anything would or will top that event but Wrestlemania X8 was absolutly phenomenal! Every single match was 5 star gold and the atmosphere watching it at home is electric, the PPV is just simply amazing.
Rock v Hogan was the Undertaker v Shawn Michaels back in the day
Undertaker v Ric Flair was brutality at its excellence
Stone Cold v Scott Hall was surprisingly energetic and fun to watch
Triple H v Jericho was the Games big comeback which made him a wrestling legend
Thankfully I already own this PPV as part of the Wrestlemania Anthology but anyone who has not seen it our does not own it do so now! It was wrestling at its best
