Absolutely AMAZING!!!

I literally can't stress just how good it actually is. The matches are uncut and brilliant, I've had this dvd for some time and have continued to just watch it over & over & over & over again. I'm still not bored of it. If you are a fan of the Undertaker, then this is the ultimate WWE dvd for you, it is fantastic.

It needed the Jeff Hardy vs Undertaker ladder match though but that is literally the only downfall. There isn't really a documentary as such but it does explain the Undertaker 's career and what he did in between matches and it also has all the promo's before each match begins.

WORTH EVERY PENNY! 10/10

I can summarise this review as follows: it's the best WWE produced superstar-specific DVD to date, still more than five years since it was produced. It's sublime, it's pretty much perfect. And I've not seen a single DVD touch it's quality yet.

Of course, it helps that I'm a big Undertaker fan. It also helps as this DVD is quite unlike other WWE superstar DVDs. They tend to be more 'documentary' and 'real life' than this, but this tracks 'Takers life as events are 'real' and remains 'in character' throughout. This works perfectly, as 'Taker isn't the kind of character you want to see behind the smoke and mirrors, if you catch my drift. The narrative is pitch perfect - explaining what the run up to the feuds that 'Taker enters into is. There's nothing pointless or filler here, unlike other 'Taker DVD narratives.

The match selection is as good as it gets. The Ground Zero match with Shawn is perfect, hands down. The Bret Hart matches both give 'Taker the ability to show he can wrestle technically, which is a site to behold. Matches like the Hell in a Cell bouts are important due to historical value, and I guess the first match with Hogan had to be put on here. As the DVD was produced, Undertaker had only recently reverted to his Deadman persona, so his Wrestlemania rematch with Kane had to be included as well, despite it not being a brilliant bout, for historical value.

There's not a lot on here that doesn't deserve to be. I've always hated the Lesnar Hell in a Cell, so I'd rather that was replaced, but many seem to like it, so... And I generally despise Vince McMahon bloodbath matches, which is what the Buried Alive match essentially is, so I could do without that too. But otherwise, every other match is perfection personified. Included as an extra is a Smackdown exclusive match 'Taker had with Kurt Angle, and to say it's the best match on that particular disk is no understatement. Really top stuff.

Yes, there are matches that aren't here that should be. But they crop up on Undertaker's 'Deadliest Matches' disk, which is another review for another time. Suffice it to say when you've got two decades of destruction under your belt, you've got a lot of matches to choose from. This selection is pretty much as good as it gets.

The extras round out the package to it's five star status. Interviews, promos, videos, you name it, it's here. They add a luster to the disk and really flesh it out. I love these snippets as 'Taker is as good on the mic' - at least during this time period - as he is in the ring. And the presentation is amazing - the tombstones in the background with Undertaker titantrons, and different musics playing depending on what era you have in the player. Totally, totally amazing.

There is really only one down side to the disk. It raises the bar so high as far as production goes, that rarely has it been since that any WWE DVD can match it. Anything else looks lazy by comparison. The real legacy of this DVD set is that it completely overshadows and outdoes the two following Undertaker DVD sets. That's the only drawback to this package.

If you visit this site, and you don't own it already, there's not much else to say beyond - GO! GET IT NOW!
