This DVD had all the makings of a fantastic 3 disc set. It includes some great moments but there is some downsides to it. Firstly, the countdown has no point. Why couldn't it just play them in order of occurrence like the RAW DVD? Secondly, the comments in-between each moment (from Santino Marella and others) spoil it sometimes. Finally, why are most of the moments just clips? They could have shown them in their entirety. However, the moments chosen are ones foe the ages. This DVD set does fall behind the RAW DVD, but it is a definite must buy for any WWE fan.

For 10 years Smackdown had been a staple on Tursday (and then Friday) nights with some awesome moments and amtches that often eclipse what Raw is putting on.
The Best of SmackDown! 10th Anniversary DVD is a worthy look back at some of the greatest moments and matches in teh history of Smackdown! The countdown can be hit and miss (more hit than miss in truth) I personally haven%u2019t seen the best of RAW dvd so I cant compare the two.
Maybe the countdown can be a bit tiresome, and the actual DVD would probably be better if it was'nt a countdown, maybe a documentary with matches (which is what most superstars have now) would have been a better choice, but I can understand they wanted to do something different. Michael Cole (who is a worthy choice to present this) and Matt Striker appear every now and then to set up some of the moments and matches that we are about to see.
Some moments there is just no need to watch again (JBL and the blow up dinosaur, the funeral fight), some are ridiculous, yet very entertaining (Billy and Chucks wedding, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Triple H, Jamie Noble and Nidia) but there so many great matches and memorise, all captured on this set that make this worth watching again. Another very interesting part of this dvd is that it features the full debut matches of Randy Orton and John Cena (both back in 2002). Both obviously feature heavily in this set Orton in particular has a hard hitting contest with Undertaker, one of their many matches from 2005.
The highlights would be the full inclusions of TLC II, Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge No DQ match from 2002, Eddie vs. Rey Steel cage match, Angle Vs. Undertaker and the awesomeness that was Brock Lesnar HUGE superplex on Big Show.
My main gripe with this dvd is the match selections, Brock Lesnar Vs Kurt Angle 60 minute iron man match is probably the greatest match in the history of Smackdown and deserves to be seen again (even though wwe have a bad relationship with oth men)instead of a short highlight, in 2002 Smackdown was at its peak in terms of match quality post-draft, involving the %u2019smackdown six%u2019 but one suprestar in particular contributed so much to the show but he is left out entirely (we all know who he is), maybe jus ta few more matches in full would have really helped this set to achieve a five star.
As far as extras go, there are none, not a single bonus clip outside the main content. Surely we could have had some of the moments that just missed out. Maybe some short interviews with people who made big contributions to Smackdown!, like; the producers on the show, Michael Cole, Michael Hayes, Teddy Long or the various superstars who made a name for themselves on Smackdown, but no, nothing.
So overall, this is a good set but could be better some moments are entierly forgettable and could be replaced by more matches but this is a great set that I highly recommend and is enjoyable on repeated viewings.
Good DVD. There are great Matches and great moments on it. But it's not as good as the 15th Annivesary of RAW DVD. For example I don't like that it is a Countdown. I mean the #1 is the 9/11/01 Tribute which is without a doubt a tragedy but is has nothing to do with the WWE. Not only are the moments not shown in their entirety, they are constantly interrupted by stupid comments of Michael Hayes or other guys. There could be more matches and less unimportant moments.
But overall, it's still worth the money.
