One of my favourite DVD sets.

The infamous screw job at Survivor Series 1997 which was a classic bout between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart.

Then the following year we have an awesome tournament to crown a new champion after the WWE championship was made vacant due to Kane and Undertaker double pinning Stone Cold Steve Austin at the earlier Breakdown PPV and because Austin refused to make the count against Undertaker and Kane at a later PPV leading to this brilliant set of matches. To poke fun at the previous screwjob at the 1997 Survivor Series, Vince did it again and it marked the era of the corporate chamion and the next chapter in the Rocks great WWE career.

You need to own this DVD for the historic "screw job" in 1997. Eventhough Bret & Shawn have buried the hatchet NOW, it's still is and forever will be a historic moment in WWE history.

As for 1998, you have the 14 Man Tournament involving 5 former WWE Champions, and if that's not enough you also have a Triple Threat tag team match for the Tag Team Championships as well

Two of the most memorable events in WWE History.

Survivor Series 1997

1. Headbangers & New Blackjacks vs. New Age Outlaws & Godwinns - 5/10
Okay opener to the show with two of the most entertaining teams in history.

2. Disciples of Apocalypse vs. Truth Commission - 3/10
Don't know either of these teams and don't want to, very boring match.

3. Team USA vs. Team Canada - 6/10
A watchable match with some great wrestlers, highlighted by the Britsh Bulldog.

4. Road Warriors vs. The Nation - 6/10
Another match with some very talented and entertaining wrestlers, but is very slow in places.

5. Kane vs. Mankind - 7/10
Kane's first match in the WWE is a good one with one of the best chokeslams ever done and the whole match is done under red lights for the first time.

6. Intercontinental Championship - Owen Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - 6/10
The rematch from Summerslam which is not as good as it is quite short, but any match with these two in is watchable.

7. WWE Championship - Bret "Hit Man" Hart vs. Shawn Michaels - 8/10
This is an infamous match for the "screw job" ending, the actual match is okay but nothing special, these two have had better matches. The ending makes the Pay Per View worthwile for being such a historic moment.

Survivor Series 1998

1. WWE Championship Tournament - 9/10
A very entertaining tournament with some of the biggest stars in history competing. If your a fan of The Rock then this is the Pay Per View for you, as this is one of his most memorable nights. To add to that there is another shocking ending.

Other matches

Women's Championship - Jacqueline vs. Sable - 4/10
Very short match with a good ending.

Triple Threat Match for World Tag Team Championship - New Age Outlaws vs. Headbangers vs. D-Lo Brown & Mark Henry - 5/10
Just a time filling match some good spots in the match with the right outcome.

Overall another must have Tagged Classic, If you want a great piece of WWE history then this is the ideal set for you.
