New Years Revolution 2005
WWE World Tag Team Championship match
Eugene & William Regal (c) vs Christian & Tyson Tomko
A very good, hard hitting and quite brutal tag team match. Both teams worked well together and Regal and Eugene made great good guys. However the injury at the end leads to an abrupt finish but great opener and though a bit slow at times was a very good contest. Ironic that of these 4 only 2 are still in the WWE and these two are currently engaged in a rivalry. 4/5
WWE Womens Championship
Lita(c) vs Trish Stratus
Started off great with a high velocity no holding back action but then an injury led to an abrupt finish, essentially cutting short a great match. However for what was here this was good - way better than many recent Diva bouts. 3/5
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin(c) vs Maven
Quite funny but pointless, Maven cut a good microphone moment but the match was over in the blink of an eye and the instant re-match was over quicker, a bit of a time waster. 1/5
Jerry 'The King' Lawler vs Mohammed Hassan
Not a bad match at all King showed he still has it and Hassan showed potential however there was too slow a pace in parts and the lack of commentary left this match with a bizarre feeling. There were some good holds applied giving the match a tradfitional element and the ending was good as was the ringside occurences. 3/5
Kane vs Gene Snitsky
Yes this rivalry was a bit of a duffer as was their previous encounter at Taboo Tuesday 2004 but thankfully this re-match was a superb display. Showing that bigger guys are good athletes too, there was a lot of power moves and the match was very well placed. Very impressive. 4/5
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Triple H vs Batista vs Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho vs Edge vs Chris Benoit
Special Referee: Shawn Michaels
Hows that for star power! This match isn't seen by some as the greatest elimination chamber match for nothing. This was a showstealer where everybody shined bright and worked well in an extremely brutal, professional and spot-filled match. From start to finish this match engaged and never let up with some brilliant moves delivered, including a diving headbutt from the top of a chamber pod! Everything was perfect well maybe the Wedgie-gree Orton suffered was a bit embarrassing. 5/5

I personally really liked this PPV. I watched it earlier today and i can safely say i would watch it again for 3 reasons.
1) Very good Elimination Chamber, great performers and a very solid match.
2) The undercard was fairly strong without any poor matches
3) The poolside clips
Only criticisms are that the whole event was centred around the elimination chamber, would have been good to see a slightly longer undercard and though there are no poor matches, 2 matches werent quite up to standard. The lita vs trish womens match was good but i kinda wanted better and the king vs muhammed hassan could have been a bit better.
but all in all 3.5 out of 5
