for me this was the best wrestlemania I have ever seen and ive seen 3 which are wrestlemania 25 26 and 27 as i bought 26 and 27 off sky box office. anyway the greatest match was probably undertaker v HBK which went on for about 35 minutes aswell as it did in wrestlemania 26.

I'm going to come out with it, WrestleMania 25 was far from the best WrestleMania but I wouldn't say it was the worst. It has some great matches and some entertaining promos. The special features are great and I much enjoyed them. Overall I gave this DVD 4 stars because its certainly one to add to your DVD collection :)

Le PPV of the year est tr?s tr?s bon.

AN AVERAGE MAIN EVENT DOES NOT MEAN AN AVERAGE SHOW!
I think peoples perception of this event has been shaped by the hugely disapointing main event. Me, just like many others, expected that being this was the 25th Wrestlemania in history we would witness a Main Event for the ages, but it wasnt to be, as it takes nothing away from what was a tremendous wrestling event which included many great bouts, none more so than the epic match between HBK and Undertaker. What hurts this event is that, apart from HBK/Taker(and even that is bound to be overshadowed by their rematch this year)there is absolutely nothing on this event that will make it remembered for years to come, which is disapointing considering this is the 25th Wrestlemania and should be considered the most historically significant wrestlemania of all time. Nevertheless this event eminated from the Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, the same venue as the iconic Wrestlemania 17, with a packed crowd of over 72,000 from all over the world, and was headlined by the blood fued between Randy Orton and Triple H for the WWE Championship, and also John Cena and Big Show challenging Edge in a triple threat match for the coverted World Heavyweight Championship, and this also contained the last ever 5star match of an unforgettable decade for wrestling

WWE Championship Match
Triple H vs. Randy Orton- Boy was this a disapointment, none more so than for myself. Even though these two have battled countless times over the years, the build for this match in my eyes was tremendous, with Orton taking out the entire McMahon family, even the Games wife, Stephanie, setting up an epic battle perfectly on the 25th wrestlemania in history. What we got was a very good match, but this is never acceptable for a Main Event on the grandest stage of them all, especially one as significant as the 25th. Yes both men told a good story, yes the action was intense, and yes you could see the hatred on both mens eyes, but they seemed so restricted in what they could do especially due to the stipulation, as this was a match begging to be a no rules match, considering the sheer hatred they had for each other coming into the event, even Orton would say later that they felt restricted in what they could do because of the rules. Another thing is that this match was begging to have interference, just look at the crowd after the ref bump, everyone was looking towards the ramp, expecting someone to run in and add to the drama of the match, yet what we got was an anti-climatic finish with HHH punting Orton before hitting a resounding Pedigree for the win. The crowd was also dead for this, as these two had a huge task in following the two previous bouts. I personally believed that Triple H had no reason to win this bout, as this was the chance for Orton to put himself as the ultimate heel in the WWE, instead he looked completely idiotic and weak in that he was easily brushed aside by the Game, and i feel that from now on, no matter what they do with Orton he will never reach such a level, and during that time i was a huge Orton fan, but after the match i could care less about him. I also feel that McMahon should of helped Orton to the title ala Austin in the same arena, as a heel has never left a WM main event with the title without the help of Vince. This could and should of been an epic main event, but we got an instantly forgettable bout that has shaped peoples opinions about the event. Very good match but could of been epic-7.5/10

Hall of Fame 2010- all of the inductees were introduced to a wonderful reception, none more so than the Texas, Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin, as he got the best reception of the night from his home state, the same arena he won his last WWE Championship at a WM. He entertained us with one last beer bash, with even JR joining in(which led to entertaining commentary) and if this is the last way we will see Austin at a WM, what a way to go out. As good as a reception as ive ever seen

Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge vs. John Cena vs. Big Show- These three had the unenviable task of trying to follow up the epic encounter that preceeded theirs, but all three of these men can be proud of their efforts as they put on a tremendous, non stop back and forth triple threat match which kept the crowd entertained. Yes the build was poor, but that didnt held these three back, as they put that all behind them as for 14minutes these 3 had the crowd on their feet for the sheer action this match contained. Each men played their role perfectly, and even the Big Show didnt hold this match back, and dare i say i believe he added to the bout. There were numerous great moments in this, such as Edge Spearing Show through the baricade, Cena hitting a top rope leg drop onto Big Show on the outside, Edge unintentionally Spearing his Wife Vickie, Big Show being tied to the top rope ala Andre the Giant, and the unbelievable ending with Cena picking up both men in an FU postition before hitting the Attitude Adjustment first on the Big Show, then Edge on top of Big Show for the 3. Great bout and these 3 men should be proud they managed to keep the crowd entertained throughout, especially with everyone being exhausted by the match they had just previously seen. Tremendous-8.5/10

Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker-This was the first match in years that made me feel like a little kid again. I was marking out like a mad man throughout, its one of the few matches i had to pause and think "wow, did you see that!" these two promised to steal the show, and not only did they do that, they put on one of the greatest matches in the history of Wrestlemania. Its funny to think these two have had two 5star matches with each other, and while its not as good as their Hell in a Cell match 12years ago, it was damn near close, and a true epic. The crowd at Wrestlemania 25 were unbelievable, and no more so than for this match, as they were unbelievably hot throughout the 30minutes. They were on the edge of their seats for the 30minute length of this encounter, and for good reason. The storytelling was great; HBK showing the determination to be the one to dethrone Taker at Wrestlemania, bringing out every move in his arsenal. His desperation was shown best when he ducked Takers annual suicide torpe, and was willing to win the match by count out, and you could see the desperation in his face as he urged the ref to hurry up. The counters for Sweet Chin Music and the Chokeslam had me jumping, and both men pulled out some great and dramatic submission holds through this. HBK was near perfect in this, having the edge over the Undertaker and even kicking out of the Tombstone! But the one mistake when he went for a moonsault cost him, as Taker caught him in midair and hit the Tombstone for an emphatic 3. No doubt the highlight of Wrestlemania 25, no doubt the best match of 2009 and a great way to close a memorable decade-10/10

Intercontinental Championship Match
JBL vs. Rey Mysterio- Well the annual quick match was quite a shocker, being that this could of been a good match. JBL had a great promo before the match, drawing heat onto himself and declaring that he will make history, he did that, but not the way he intended as Rey, sporting a Joker outfit, would beat JBL in a mere 21seconds for his first intercontinental championship, which subsequently led to JBL quitting. Entertaining but not much of a match, i automatically give entertaining squashes like this a 3-3/10

Extreme Rules Match
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy- This was a great hardcore match, though not the instant classic i believed it would be, maybe because of the high standards these two have set for matches like this. This match was the culmination of over 5months of build, and while it did deliver in terms of action, it could of been so much more. 13minutes wasnt enough for these two to do what they could, as what resulted was purely a spotfest in what should of been an intense encounter between the two brothers. They used every weapon they could get their hands on, from chairs to ladders to trash cans to tables, and this match was back and forth with no man dominating for a prolonged period of time. Great moments in this match include Jeff hitting a splash onto Matt on the outside whom was sandwiched between two tables, Matt hitting Jeff with a chair as he attempted whisper in the wind, Jeff missing an almighty leg drop on to of the ladder, which led to Matt hitting a twist of fate with the chair assisting in a brutal finish, with the right man going over. Great bout that had a great ending, though worryingly the fans was only interested when the big spots occured, not the fighting that preceeded it. One of the many great matches on this night that is unfairly underrated-8.5/10

3 on 1 Handicap Match
Chris Jericho vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat & Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka (w/ Ric Flair)- Props go to three men here, Piper done his instense brawling style perfectly and kept this match going, Steamboat rolled back the years with a tremendous performance that had the crowd in a frenzy, cheering him on to beat Jericho, and also Jericho who showed why he is as good as anyone in the business, as he turned what was on paper a poor match into the most suprisingly great match of the night, with the crowd as loud as any moment during the night. The build up was great for this, and Jericho deservedly went over. The post match sequence was awkward with Rourke punching Jericho on the jaw. I loved the crowd reaction for this and even though i didnt watch this match live, i couldnt believe after i was cheering on Steamboat to beat Jericho just like the crowd, which is credit for the work of the men in this. One downside is that it was horrible watch Snuka in there, he was slow, old and barely mobile, and thank God his moments were kept short. Great match-8/10

25-Diva Battle Royal to Determine the First Ever Miss WrestleMania- Kid Rocks performance was removed from this event, and deservedly so, which makes it the more stupid they made him perform on this event. What should of been a great moment for womens wrestling was a stupid, unbelievable bad battle royal with Santina(really Santino) picking up the win and leaving the wwe divas with little credibility. Some old divas returned for this, but i had no clue who when watching this, as the wwe didnt even bother to introduce them. The lowest rating i can recall giving, which says it all-2/10

Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Finlay vs. Christian vs. CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Montel Vontavious Porter- Spotfest dont come much better than Money in the Bank, and this match delivered once again. Just when you think theres nothing more you can do in a Ladder match, these men prove us wrong again. Every man played their role perfectly, even Henry and Kane were entertaining throughout, playing their big man role to perfection. Kingston was sensational, running up on Ladders, jumping over Ladders and many more, and as usual Benjamin stole the show, hitting a splash onto everyman on the outside from the top of the Ladder. The fans favourite was Christian, and the ending sequence with him , CM Punk and Kane was excellent, with Punk picking up an unexpected second MITB victory. Some crazy moments in this, too many literally to name, it set the crowd hot for the night, and is as good as any MITB i can recall. Fantastic opener-9/10

Lumberjack Match for the Unified Tag Team Championship
Carlito & Primo vs. The Miz & John Morrison- What a shame this match was removed from the main card, as it would of added to the event, as it was a great tag team match, as good as any in recent memory, as it was filled with high-spots, back and forth action, and an entertained crowd, even the Lumberjacks played their role perfectly, and never got too involved. Great match with Primo picking up the victory with a tremendous ending sequence-8/10

Well there you have it, A forgettable event, but that doesnt mean it was a bad event, it just lacked a WM moment that will be talked about for years to come. HBK/Taker stole the show, Cena won the title, and Punk won MITB, all things we have seen before. The DVD contained great extras, with 2-3 minute highlights of all 24 previous Wrestlemanias, the entire Hall of Fame Ceremony and the tag team match. Great purchase, but not the best WM you will see

The PPV Was OK, I Wouldn't Say It Was Of The Best Wrestlemania's Ever. The Best Wrestlemania Ever Has Gotta Be Seventeen. Back To 25, The Money InThe Bank I Thought Was Pretty Good, Some Very High Flying Moves, Everything About The Match Was Good Except From The Winner, I Absolutely Hate CM Punk I Mean One Year Was Enough But Two Years In A Row That Just Took It To Far. The 25 Diva Battle Royal Was Pretty Good I Think The Women Who Won It Well Deserved It, Or Should I Say Man Or Tranvestite (Well Funny). The Chris Jericho V Legends Was Pretty Good Just Dissapointed That Jericho Actually Won, The Only Thing That Was Good About Jericho Winning Was That He Then Got His Ass Kicked By Mickey Rourke, And Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat Still Has The Qualities To Still Be A Really Good Wrestler. Matt & Jeff Hardy's Match Was Good Because It Was Extreme Rules And When Jeff Hardy Is In An Extreme Rules Match You Know It Is Gonna Be Good, And It Didn't Dissapoint. Well The Next Match Rey Mysterio v JBL For The Intercontinental Championship Took As Long As It Took Me To Write The Description Of The Match 21 Seconds. The Next Match Is One Of Greatest Matches That Could Ever Take Place & It Contains The Two Greatest Wrestlers In The WWE The Undertaker v Shawn Michaels And The DVD Is Worth It Just Because Of This Match, It Had Me At The Edge Of My Seat Throughout The Whole Match Because I Am A Big Undertaker Fan And I Just Didn't Want The Match To End Because It Was So Entertaining, So I Would Recommend Any Wrestling Fan To Watch This Match If You Already Haven't. The World Heavyweight Title Match I Thought It Was Quite Boring But When All Of The Finishers Started Coming Into Play It Started To Pick Up And For The Main Event Triple H V Randy Orton Was One Of The Most Boring Matches I Have Ever Seen, There Was To Things Great About This Match The Entrances At The Beginning Of The Match And Triple H Celebrating At The End And That Was Only Because I Was Happy That The Match Had Finally Finished Because If It Was On 5 Minutes Longer I Am Being Serious I Do Actually Think I Would Have Fallen Asleep.

Overall I Think The PPV Is Really Worth Watching As I Say Especially The Undertaker V Shawn Michaels Match. I Hope THat If You Consider Buying This DVD You Will Take My Review Seriously And I Hope That It Helps You Decide.

Tres bon PPV. Le Money In The Bank est genial.

This wrestlemania was better than i expected the money in the bank match was great the divas battle royal was good but the whole santina marrela thing was a good laugh.Matt hardy vs Jeff hardy was AMAZING!!! sad jeff did not win but still it was good match.Chris jericho vs rowdy roddy piper, jimmy superfly snuka, ricky the dragon steamboat was really good yet a other sad ending which was chris jercho winning but the very last bit was fab.JBL thought that his match with rey mysterio was going to be easy but it was rey who won and he also won the intercontinental championship.SHAWN MICHEALS VS THE UNDERTAKER WAS THE BEST MATCH OF THE NIGHT 5 STAR.Edge vs john cena vs Big show for the worldtitle was a good match but it was not the best match but i am happy john cena won the worldtitle.Triple h vs Randy orton was a very good match and it must have a 5 stars.

wrestlemania 25 will not be remembered as one of the greatest manias ever, indeed it was a severe drop in quality from last years sterling show. for those who paid to watch this, im sure you were greatfull to the undertaker and shawn michaels for providing the majority of the value of your money, thier match, however, wasnt the only highlight of the show, but it was above and beyond anything else on th card,
opening up the show is wwes annual ladder spot showcase and it delivers everyhting you have come to love about the money in the bank match. unfortunately this match has peaked, theres only so many times you can watch someone jump off a ladder before it becomes all to fimilar, further hampering the match was the inclusion of wrestlers who are out ill equiped in this type of arena, finlay is a submission stylist and mvp rarely steps aboad the tope rope, im not intending to discredit either man here, both are capable workers but they seem out of place here, for example mvps main contribution is a somersault of the apron which in the end looks more like a roll, on the other hand kane is a mediocre performer and mark henry plain sucks, neither man should have been considered for this match, the highlights as you probably guesed come from the other wrestlers(punk, christian, kingston and benjamin.)man of the match in 2005 and 2006 shelton benjamin performs an insane hilo of a really big ladder and brings the crowd rightfully to its feet, unfortunately benjamin has been buired beyond belief in the years since and this years main man is kofi kingston who performed some breathtaking spots , at one point he ran up a ladder which henry was attempting to set up(i dont credit henry at all for this ,by the way),leapfrogged over an on coming ladder and generaly displayed incredible athleticism. other notable happenings include christians unprettier/killswitch on cm punk off of ladders set up in a scaffold formation amongst others, infact this match bell to bell is full of spectacular moves.the crowd in attendance felt, like me, that christian would walk away with the case(he was cheered throughout) but in the end it was cm punk who snatched the case in a typically dazzling opener.
secondly was one of the most pointless and poorest matches of the year, the 25 diva battle royal. the fact that most of the divas are either blonde or brunette with implants mean they are indistinguishable from each other, you are completely unaware whos who, but then again you probably dont care either, winner is santino drssed in drag(i kid you not)
next up is another match worthy of maybe midcard status on raw, had wwe aquired the service of hulk hogan for this match, that would of changed dramatically(money of course), but it wasnt to be. its also worth noting that this was wwes celebrity match, a match they promoted expertly in the 2 previous years and a match which failed on so many levels, jimmy snuka sholud never, ever wrestle again(he looked dire) and roddy piper wasnt far behind, to the relief of everyone they are quickly eliminated, fortunately jericho managed a good home straight with ricky steamboat, the action was crisp and the crowd managed to get into the near falls at the end until steamboat submitted to the walls of jericho. the post match segment involving micky rourke didnt compare to floyd mayweather or donald trump, infact blink and youll miss it, a clearly uninspired rourke entered the ring, ducked a jericho right hook and then flatens him, thats your lot folks.
probably the biggest dissapointed of the show is the extreme rules match pitting matt v jeff hardy, to be fair, their match was cut on time(it only last roughly 13 minutes), but instead of trimming down some of the things theyd planned ,they decided to cram it into the alloted time, this didnt make much of a match, also working against them was that wwe served enough stunts in the opener to fill the ppv, maybe 2. i hate to criticise a match which so much effort went into, but the hardy brothers simply wandered from stunt to stunt and in thier haste didnt take time to sell, for example in the early minutes matt counters jeffs "whisper in the wind" with a chair shot to the legs, surely from here jeff would sruggle to walk or climb the ropes, but nope there no psychology on offer here, matt hardy desprately under sells jeffs pyschotic dive through 2 tables and as a result the spot is instantly forgotten, however there are some positives, for one its is never boring and the right man went over(matt), the finish is cool (twist of fate while jeefs head was in a chair) but because of the structure of the match, or lack of, its just one in a long chain of redundant high spots, this match could and should have been a classic.
rey mysterio next defeated jbl in mere seconds to lift the ic belt and jbl quit afterwards, as this review is getting rather lenghty ill simply say, fodder
the next bout is one of the best matches this decade. often in pro wrestling things are overhyped/exaggerated but this match is deserving of all its praise, and then some. boasting awesome performances, compelling psychology and killer near falls this is a genuine classic, so good infact, undertakers botched tope actually adds to the drama, the planned spot involved michaels pulling a "cameraman" in front of him to take the impact but they were stood to far back and undertaker performs a nose dive and temporarliy knocks himself out, taker does recover and the two continue to try and and outdo each to chants of "this is awesome"(undertaker, for instance attempts michaels signature top rope elbow) the storytelling is fitting of the bulid up and occasion(mr wrestlemania v the streak, whos better?), at one point hbk kicks out of the tombstone piledriver for a heartstopping false finish, check out undis facial expression afterwards, priceless, and in turn undertaker kicks out of sweet chin music for another brilliant near fall. the end unfortnately comes when undertaker reverses michaels moonsault attept int a tombstone(michaels had used the speed and agility to evade undertakers stikes early on)5 star match no doubt.
from here the qualtiy like the undertaker, takes a nose dive. the 3 way for the world title provides no revelations, cena wins while edge carries the workload, but the task of dragging both cena and the big show was beyond even the world class abilities of edge, as a result the match never leaves second gear which simply isnt good enough for a high profile match such as this, the match however isnt a total flop, edges diving spear on the outside, cena picking BOTH men up in a firmans carry, big show doing the job rather than edge, but the overall package is a dull experience.
the main event featuring triple h v randy orton is yet another tedious offering, this fued has been played to death and has rarely produced a good match under straight wrestling rules (they did have a excellent last man standing match at no mercy 2007 and a great cage match at judgment day 2008), and may be a reason for the lenghty spells of silence, the crowd were apparently as bored seing these two wrestle as i was, and as with the match before orton and hhh never get going, the finish as in many of there other matches has triple h finishing of orton way to easy and in another stupid piece of booking, triple h would of lost the title had he got disqualified, being dqed to retain the belt is a heel tactic if im not mistaken(triple h was playing babyface) so why would he get disqualified.wrestlemania has staged many emotional celebrations after the main events (rey mysterio 2006, benoit 2004, shawn michaels 1996 for example) but triple hs post match celebration was mediocre, at least it didnt look out of place.
overall wrestlemania was a dissapointing effort, wwe has presented cards ranging from good to awesome in 2000,2001, 2003,2004,2006,2007 and 2008, the "25th anniversary" (the first wrestlemania was in 1985, so technically the 24th anniversary) is for from the worst wrestlemania and contains some good matches ,money in the bank, hardy v hardy which to be fair is entertaining and one classic match, but theres to much here that weve seen far too many times before which doesnt make the grade, worth buying for the undertakerv shawn michaels match. otherwise its missable.

Rey mysterio vs JBL was nice cause rey Won in 21 seconds with a 619.

Undertaker vs HBK : I Have never seen so many Signature Moves in a match before.
The Money in the bank ladder match was awful, Cm punk should not have won it again, I think Kofi Kingston should have won it.

Jericho vs Legends Sucky Jericho won it but it was a nice ending...
