Interesting dvd of the most exciting period in wrestling. Naturally, as a WWE dvd, it's slightly biased, Gerald Briscoe's comments and histrionics make you want to smack him in the mouth, but it essentially covers the era pretty well. Some great action included too

The Monday Night Wars was an amazing time to be a Wrestling fan this is a must have for newer fans who want to lern about WWE's history.

The Monday Night War...

WCW vs WWF, what a time in the wrestling business It was and this is why.
Being on the same night as one-another It was a battle for not only ratings and fans but also of egos and power.

As WCW went live every Monday and had a much bigger budget than the then WWF It was well at an advantage, with Superstars from one company going to the other and dirty tactics being used to destroy the competition It was such a great time to be a fan and a very hard one to be a wrestler.

But when "Politics and mismanagement" started to boil to ahead all hell broke loose, and thats when the battle became the war and went on to be Legend.

This is a must have DVD for anyone who calls themselves a "wrestling fan"

I love this dvd. I was excited when i heard about it years ago. Bought it as it came in stock here and its fantastic. A brilliant look at Raw and Nitro's monday night rivalry. Very interesting documentary and a few good matches as extras too. Will go great with the WCW DVD! This is a must own!

This is a must have for any wrestling fan...this was the period that put wrestling in a map,and i believe we will never see such rivalry like this one...

This DVD provides a great look back at one of the hottest periods in wrestling history. It was truly a great time to be a fan as WWF and WCW pushed each other to the limit every Monday night as WWF Raw took on WCW Nitro in the weekly ratings. The WWF were cruising along in the early 90's as the number one company until Eric Bischoff took over at WCW and turned them into a major force (with Ted Turner's chequebook to help him of course). Bischoff's inclusion in this production prevents it from becoming another piece of WWE propaganda and he is very honest about the underhanded tactics he used to try and take the WWF down. It wasn't all one way traffic even though you get the impression from this production that the WWF were the 'good guys' in this war. There's no denying that between 1996 and early 1998 that WCW Nitro was the better show and this was reflected in their near 2 year reign as ratings winners, but once the hot nWo angle began to run its course and WWF found their 'attitude', WCW had no answer.

The industry is really crying out for another company to challenge the WWE at the top of the mountain these days and this DVD shows how wrestling has suffered since the demise of WCW.

This is an excellent look at what went on during the Monday Night Wars. Showcasing the most memorable moments from WWF and WCW with interviews from those that helped define the era and some excellent maches that raised the bar.
I would recommend this to all fans but I would have liked for some more matches, they matches they have are great but, I personally would have selected a few more really deffinative matches with Rock, Mick Foley, HHH, Sting.
The Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin tag match is excellent, and Shawn and HHH against L.O.D. is also very good. Benoit against Booker T is also very good.

Great DVD really recommend it for history fans and Wrestling fans!!!

Great documentary !!! I am from Greece and during the years of the Monday Night Wars the only way to learn what was going on was only from wrestling magazines and last 3 years from internet.
Now this video brings to every wrestling fan the best moments of a war that had one and only winner: us, the fans. I wish it was a 2 disc set !
A must have !!!!

A great documentary about the most exciting era in sports entertainment history. Especially Eric Bishoff's comments are quite funny (because he has no problems with talking about his evil methods).
Jerry Brisco on the other side shows that he is really dumb. His comments sound like something a stupid bully would say.
All in all a really good piece of work by WWE

this dvd shows how Ted Turner's wcw tried every trick to beat RAW. this dvd also shows you how the monday night wars changed the landscape of wrestling

and just imagine if wcw won

This DVD is fantastic for all wrestling fans. Great for new fans as it gives good detail about the Wars and the big part of History of professional wrestling and for older fans who want to remember the times where WWE and WCW were competing against each other.

Would have to recommend to anyone.

For any fan who is starting to get into Wrestling then you need to buy this DVD and learn how the WWE got to where they are today.

Those Friday nights with Nitro on TNT and Raw on Sky Sports were just amazing
