Brilliant dvd.
If you like countdowns, you will love this dvd.
Even when when brock lesner suplexs big show and the ring collapses, that is still not as good as some of the others!
However,number 1 is absolutly s**t,all it is is a tribute to 9/11.
Still overall it is a very good dvd.

I would give it 8/10

This DVD had all the makings of a fantastic 3 disc set. It includes some great moments but there is some downsides to it. Firstly, the countdown has no point. Why couldn't it just play them in order of occurrence like the RAW DVD? Secondly, the comments in-between each moment (from Santino Marella and others) spoil it sometimes. Finally, why are most of the moments just clips? They could have shown them in their entirety. However, the moments chosen are ones foe the ages. This DVD set does fall behind the RAW DVD, but it is a definite must buy for any WWE fan.

For 10 years Smackdown had been a staple on Tursday (and then Friday) nights with some awesome moments and amtches that often eclipse what Raw is putting on.

The Best of SmackDown! 10th Anniversary DVD is a worthy look back at some of the greatest moments and matches in teh history of Smackdown! The countdown can be hit and miss (more hit than miss in truth) I personally haven%u2019t seen the best of RAW dvd so I cant compare the two.

Maybe the countdown can be a bit tiresome, and the actual DVD would probably be better if it was'nt a countdown, maybe a documentary with matches (which is what most superstars have now) would have been a better choice, but I can understand they wanted to do something different. Michael Cole (who is a worthy choice to present this) and Matt Striker appear every now and then to set up some of the moments and matches that we are about to see.

Some moments there is just no need to watch again (JBL and the blow up dinosaur, the funeral fight), some are ridiculous, yet very entertaining (Billy and Chucks wedding, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Triple H, Jamie Noble and Nidia) but there so many great matches and memorise, all captured on this set that make this worth watching again. Another very interesting part of this dvd is that it features the full debut matches of Randy Orton and John Cena (both back in 2002). Both obviously feature heavily in this set Orton in particular has a hard hitting contest with Undertaker, one of their many matches from 2005.

The highlights would be the full inclusions of TLC II, Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge No DQ match from 2002, Eddie vs. Rey Steel cage match, Angle Vs. Undertaker and the awesomeness that was Brock Lesnar HUGE superplex on Big Show.

My main gripe with this dvd is the match selections, Brock Lesnar Vs Kurt Angle 60 minute iron man match is probably the greatest match in the history of Smackdown and deserves to be seen again (even though wwe have a bad relationship with oth men)instead of a short highlight, in 2002 Smackdown was at its peak in terms of match quality post-draft, involving the %u2019smackdown six%u2019 but one suprestar in particular contributed so much to the show but he is left out entirely (we all know who he is), maybe jus ta few more matches in full would have really helped this set to achieve a five star.

As far as extras go, there are none, not a single bonus clip outside the main content. Surely we could have had some of the moments that just missed out. Maybe some short interviews with people who made big contributions to Smackdown!, like; the producers on the show, Michael Cole, Michael Hayes, Teddy Long or the various superstars who made a name for themselves on Smackdown, but no, nothing.

So overall, this is a good set but could be better some moments are entierly forgettable and could be replaced by more matches but this is a great set that I highly recommend and is enjoyable on repeated viewings.

Good DVD. There are great Matches and great moments on it. But it's not as good as the 15th Annivesary of RAW DVD. For example I don't like that it is a Countdown. I mean the #1 is the 9/11/01 Tribute which is without a doubt a tragedy but is has nothing to do with the WWE. Not only are the moments not shown in their entirety, they are constantly interrupted by stupid comments of Michael Hayes or other guys. There could be more matches and less unimportant moments.
But overall, it's still worth the money.

An awesome DVD for any WWE fan. Every single moment and match are very memorable and all the segmants will have you laughting your butt off! The Raw DVD's are excpeptional aswell, although they are mainly for catching up on your history and these ones are better for entertainment. If you are a long time or new WWE fan then these DVD's are perfect. You will not be dissapointed!

This is a great DVD for any SmackDown or WWE fan but I don't feel it is anywhere near as good as it's Raw rival. Rather than follow in Raw's footsteps and present some of the most memorable and greatest matches and moments in SmackDown history, they decided to present it in a top 100 countdown style. Personally it didn't work for me but I can't say I was entertained when watching. I watched this DVD once and it sits in the cupboard where as the Raw DVD comes out at least once a month.

i was really excited when wwe announced this dvd, what a great opportunity, 3 discs of smackdowns greatest matches and segments, but unfortunately they blew it.yes folks this reviewer has little good to say about this dvd, everyhing from the selections to the format, stunt the potential of this dvd. wwe uses a countdown system from 100, sounds good yeah, well its not, too much is crammed across the 3 discs, most of which is out of place on a "best of" compilation anyway, the segments are shown as highlight packages and not in thier entirerity, are rushed and therefore leave little impression.out of the 100 slots only 20 of them are matches and few deserve thier inclusion, for instance there is more than one occasions of wwe stars dominating/ beating or both ,stars from other companies or in some cases from wwe, triple h v tazz, stone cold v rvd, the rock v dudleys in a handicap match no less, john cena v carlito, triple h v jeff hardy. more head scratching decions come from the inclusion of randy orton v hardcore holly and john cena v kurt angle, their inclusion seems based on the fact that they were orton and cenas debuts, and not to much else, this is a "best of" remember.changing the pace of the review the set DOES boast some choice matches, rey mysterio v eddie guerrero inside a steel cage was a worthy addition to their stellar series in 2005, an enjoyable 8 man encounter from october 2008 is a welcome addition, rey mysterio v matt hardy is good as is team angle v tajiri and eddie guerrero, kurt angle v undertaker from 2002 showcases crisp action but again thier matches on smackdown from 2003 and february 2006 were superior(these are not on the set by the way). kurt angle and brock lesnars iron man match, unfortunately, is only highlights, eddie guerrero pops up again in a superb no dq match v edge(september 2002) this rightfully makes the top ten, on the other hand i disagree with rock v triple h at number 3, while this is good, these two had many matches better than this and there are plenty of smackdown matches which are better also.
making up the numbers are segments/vignettes, ill highlight the best and most insulting.the spinner belt-no, boogeyman-no,heidenreich poetry uh uh ,billy and chuck wedding oh dear.why any promotion would think its a good idea to book one man to run through most of its roster is beyond me, the big shows return in september 2004 is neither impressive nor smart but it must be said, it was the expendable cruiserweights who were mostly booked as jobbers(your shocked im sure), eddie guerreros championship celebration and touching tribute show are rightfully here along with the halirious auction of kurt angles possesions. kurt angle himself provides many highlights, mostly on a comedy level, his version of shawn michaels music is dead funny, feel free to sing along at the end i know i did, also if i live to be a 100 years old i will never forget the segments involving stone cold, kurt angle and vince macmahon over the suumer of 2001, that mini cowboy hat, the chemistry here was awesome (ah good times). i must admit i found the stuff with al snow and steve blackman mildly ammusing and i will even give john cena credit, his raps during his early years were red hot, .i never tire of booker t and stone colds supermarket brawl, as degrading to booker as it is, the sight of stone cold throwing eggs and popping out of a fridge like the terminater with a bottle of milk is golden, most of the segments with the rock are electrifying, but then this man was, wasnt he, and who can forget some of the stuff between edge and vickie guerrero, i really dont have anything bad to say about edge the man owns wwe.to conclude i would start by saying, dont get me wrong here, theres some good material on display, but even the good stuff is rushed, it has to be because of the layout, a different aproach could have made this a must have dvd had wwe dumped the countdown system and included smackdowns elite matches and segments, as low as i rate this dvd it still provides a trip down memory lane, buy if you must, avoid if you can.

shame theres only ONE shot of chris benoit in the whole dvd...i know what happened happened and wwe wanted to distance themselves but his career shouldn't be snubbed and benoit was a huge part of smackdown, especially in rivalries with people like kurt angle. there must have been some moments to include in the top 100 moments that he was in. a real shame...

however, for the most part it's a great set, some nice matches thrown in there, some definitely better than others but not a bad offering at all. would have liked to have seen more from the undertaker as well come to think of it

I bought this the other day and having been an avid wrestling for well over a decade and a collector of many WWE VHS and DVD's since I first became a fan, I was looking forward to reliving some great moments from Smackdown history.

This set unfortunately did not live up to my expectations and it's hard to pinpoint why. There are MANY problems with the set. Some of the moments chosen for inclusion baffle me. The Boogeyman eating Jillians 'mole' and the Jamie Noble/Nidia getting rich angle. These were amongst the top 100 moments in Smackdown history? No way. I understand the need to showcase different talent on the DVD but for me it didn't work having these moments thrown in with some genuinely great moments .

The countdown is also problem for me. Having previously purchased the Best of Raw DVD set (15th Anniversary 4 Disc set), I had expected this to be similar in presentation. The Raw DVD was far from perfect but it was one I have been back to several times. I loved the fact that the boxes of these two sets match up (although it%u2019s a shame that the original Smackdown wasn%u2019t included in full on it%u2019s own special disc ala the Raw DVD) but I thought that DVD never gained steam largely due to the lacklustre interludes with Michael Cole and Matt Striker. Cole is poor on the DVD but I understand his inclusion but Striker has barely been seen on Smackdown, why does he provide the links?

This brings me to my next issue, the talking heads that comment on the moments. The quality of these segments is TERRIBLE. The biggest star of the bunch is probably CM Punk who hasn%u2019t been around Smackdown all that long. After that you%u2019re looking at Lillian Garcia (formerly a long-time Raw announcer), Mark Henry (fine) and current Smackdown announcer Todd Grisham. The latter is possibly the most annoying talking head ever featured on a WWE DVD with the possible exception of Steve %u2018The Brooklyn Brawler%u2019 Lombardi (who is featured as a talking head ONCE AGAIN).

There are a few gems in the set courtesy mainly of Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Undertaker and The Rock but overall this DVD falls short of what it could have been. More segments in full, less interludes, more high quality matches (which Smackdown certainly has had in abundance over the years) and relevant commentaries could have made this set an easy 4 star release rather than the 2 star dud that it is.

Pros: There are some great matches included in this set. Kurt Angle Vs The Undertaker is still a terrific watch,as is the superb Edge vs Eddie Guerrero No DQ match. It,s also nice to see the all but forgotten Triple H Vs Rock match from the premiere episode....The Billy and Chuck Commitment Ceremony is still a superb watch with all playing their parts fantastically...Randy Orton Vs The Undertaker is a very good match..There are plenty of excellent moments here aswell. The supermarket brawl is still hilarious. There's plenty of humourous moments involving Stone Cold.Kurt Angle and Vince....The ring implosion involving Big Show and Brock Lesnar is still damn impressive to watch...There's plent to enjoy while watching The Rock's moments espically the sliding People's Elbow..Michael Hayes, when allowed to break kayfabe, has some very interesting things to say.His comments about Kurt angle winning the European Title are spot on...Matt Striker and michael Cole are likeable hosts...The 9-11 tribute show has lost none of it's power eight years on

Cons: The taking heads on this compilation are woefull at best.Aside from Hayes,Striker and Big Show, most have nothing of interest to say.Kofi Kingston's faux jamican accent grates after a while.Todd Grisham should never be allowed near a microphone again. He outdoes his horrible job on The History of the IC Title tenfold on this...The digs at Kurt angle and Mick Foley are childish...Some of the segments, such as the return of Piper's Pit,supermarket brawl,Stephanie slaps her mother, and matches, tag team Buried alive match,TLC 3,would have been better shown in full..Paul Heyman's superb promo at Vince McMahon(November 15) is omitted.apparently John Cena's spinner belt was a more entertaining moment..The Muhammed Hassan/Undertaker terrorist angle s also ommited...This stupid new practice of showing clips involving blood in black and white is preent here aswell

Overall: A very enjoyable look at the 100 best moments of SD! with plenty to enjoy.

This is a great dvd i really enjoyed it through out. It counts down from 100 greatest smackdown moments and presenting the dvd and they really did a good job are Michael Cole and Matt Striker.

On each disc it shows you highlights and matches of the greatest moments and what i like about it if i was to compare it to Raw 15th anniversary dvd is it has interviews from different superstars and i think thats what the raw dvd lacked.

Also i have heard a few people talk about them not putting the full Lesnar vs Angle iron man match on it and i think it is because they are counting down from the 100 greatest moments the match is too long to have on the disk.

I also thought the interviews in the highlights were really good i am a big fan of Tod Grisham, i loved him when he was presenting the bottom line i think he is very funny and i also love Santino Morella.

It has got some great moments like highlights to the first ever smackdown, sexy kurt, Undertaker vs Randy Orton.

Get this dvd i loved it.

Not a bad product, but not as good as i thought it was going to be. I hate when they ad stupid sound, like when Austins wife debra is letting Booker T, Kurt Angle and Vince try her cookies lol you hear this stupid laughing as if it were an american sitcom, they go through stuff to quick aswell. Why is Undertaker ( MY FAVOURITE ) on the cover when he is only in it about twice???

And they need to stop putting Matt Stricker in these dvd's i dont know about anyone else but dose that guy not really get on your nerve's or what ( WHAT ) he trys to act that he is all better than us by acting all of the wrestlers and saying he remembers all of the moments of WWE, We could all do that if we had a laptop in front of us aswell.

There should have been a 4th disc with the first every episode on it as the other fan said below in his comment that would have been great alone.

Not a bad dvd but not a great one. Its a pity because i have always liked Smackdown better than Raw over the years but yet the Raw dvd lays the smackdown on it. But too all fans, still buy this dvd because its good to see some of the old moments.

ONE MORE THING BEFORE I GO - Why was The Rock & Austin Rival before Wrestlemania 17 were all the security guys try to break them up not on this???????????????????????????????

I have to say that this DVD is one of the best sets put together by WWE for a while. Some reviews on here say its not good, but they are wrong. To have all these moments in full would be too much for three discs and WWE does not produce sets with 3 or more discs ( except the odd 4th Bonus Disc). I think it was nicely put together and the moments were NOT spoiled by the interview parts. Not all of the comments from the superstars were 'in character', for example, Michael Hayes was not in character, neither was CM Punk nor Matt Hardy. They were giving their honest opinions on each moment. The only annoying part was Todd Grishams comments. Overall this is a brilliant set worth getting. Ignore any negative reviews as those people are obviously ignorant to this great set!

Ok first off when i first heard this dvd was coming out i was excited because i thought wwe had done a great ob on the Raw 15th anniversary boxset.

On the Raw dvd you have memorable moments from the shows history presented in their complete form, however on this dvd only the matches are presented complete.

When the top 100 moments are introduced, the moments i remember most are completly ruined by stopping every 5 or 10 seconds to have an IN-CHARACTER! comment from either Santino Marella, William Regal, Matt Hardy, Michael Hayes or Matt Striker. Think the last dx dvd, but worse.

It may not sound bad but it's is extremly annoying and completely ruins the moments that they are talking about. For example, The Rock and Kurt Angle are featured heavily on this dvd and they have amazing moments, but then they will have someone like Santino say something on top of what the wrestlers in the clip are saying.

Why could they not have had the talking and comments but then shown what they were talking about without spoiling it and trying to be funny when the clips should speak for themselve's?

Another thing i would like to add, The Undertaker is on the front cover of the dvd however don't be looking for him on this dvd, i noticed him for about 20 or 30 seconds in total other than that 2 minute lookback at his tombstone on Vickki Gurrerro.

If i were you, i would buy this dvd if it goes on sale, other than that, the wwe has released a dvd boxset with great potential which ultimatley disappoints.

This dvd does live up to expectations with classic moments from the shows history as well as some full matches which are of a high standard. The dvd collection is presented by Michael Cole and Matt Striker which makes more sense than some of the more recent presenters of compilations. The best part about most of these collections are that unless you have them recorded or seen the show when it was aired, this is footage that is not common on other boxsets. I wish that like the best of RAW dvd collection, they had included the very first episode of Smackdown as a bonus fourth disc. As well as this, there are some moments i would've liked to have seen more of instead of just clips. However, it would've been about a five disc collection that way but all in all a brilliant collection of moments and a compilation that should be owned by every fan.
