It is a really good dvd, better than the last one. I think Shawn Michaels shows very honest and friendly.
But the fact is that some of the chosen matches are not very well, they could choose better matches like the hell in a cell match with Triple H, the first ladder match at Wrestlemania 10 with Razor Ramon and performences like those.
But in general this DVD is absolutely fantastic. HBK HBK HBK HBK

?traordinaire DVD de HBK avec tous les meilleurs match de shawn michaels (sauf shawn micheals vs ric flair wm 24)tr?s ?vouvant retrassant tr?s bien la carri?re de mr.wrestlemania.
I veer between a 'four star' and a 'five star' for this disk. It's utterly brilliant, but I just can't give it that extra nudge as there's just something hopelessly 'wrong' about it's content. I'll explain what I mean in the moment; suffice it to say if we're going off matches and that's what you're here for, this is a five star with no exception.
You might think the better matches of Shawn's career are covered on his other box sets - fair point, but Shawn's 'other best' matches are covered here (No Marty Jannetty feud, though. :( ). His tag compromises with guys such as Playboy Buddy Rose and Doug Summers are okay - there are better bouts elsewhere - but there's no doubt the Brain Busters match is a bona fide classic. If anything the matches on disk 1 are pretty solid, pretty good - nothing outstandingly outstanding but solid nontheless. The problem really is, with the exception of perhaps Akeem, the Nasty Boys and 1-2-3 Kid, Shawn has had dozens of matches with all of these guys. Hey, I'm being picky. The only reason I can be so picky is 'cause I'll gush at the quality of all of these things otherwise.
Disk 2 follows the quality of 'I've seen him fight these guys before but these matches are just as good as the others'. Mankind's match shows that Mind Games was no fluke. I've always espoused the Casket Match with 'Taker is the best Casket Match of all time - shame about the consequences. And I've never seen the first HBK vs. Flair match on this Disk, so that was a treat. Bobby Heenan once said HBK's match with Kurt was the best he's ever seen contested in the squared circle, by anybody - hard to agree, but you can see the man's point.
Now I hate to say it - love HBK, love HHH, but I didn't see why the Boot Camp Match was particularly notable. The Fatal Four Way was - surprisingly - really good. I usually hate four-way conceits and the four guys in the ring have the chance to be pedestrian and boring, but this match really works and really well. Jericho & HBK always have great chemistry so that was a good'un. Leaving one match only - the Wrestlemania match with 'Taker. No spoilers, yes, we know who wins. It's not about that. I knew who won, watching it recently, and the sheer adrenaline - the utterly perfect combination of all of the elements coming together. Breathtaking, really, really so. Contender for best Wrestlemania match of all time? Sorry Savage / Steamboat, but I think you've been dethroned.
Which leads us to the rest of the disk and why four stars instead of five. Well, they're no extras but on this kind of video package there doesn't need to be. Still could have done with some 'filler' promos, though, like on the Savage boxset. How the documentary links - since HBK has already had one 'life of' disk - is a prolonged, y'know, interview with, y'know, Michael Cole. Shawn Michaels the human being is actually an inspiration for me as a person, so I hate to poke fun a little here but, y'know, anybody who has seen, y'know, the disk knows he, y'know, uses, y'know a LOT during this interview. Really uses y'know a lot. It's a shame 'cause it's refreshing seeing Shawn this raw - and the problem is, maybe due to nervousness (he SEEMS nervous!), he y'knows himself through the whole interview. And it's a shame. On the other hand, Cole is equally annoying for different reasons. He's trying to be 'meaningful' and 'interested'. I can see why he's chosen for this job. But to me? He comes across as creepy and fake. Maybe that's totally unfair - I'm sorry, Mr. Cole, because you're always a hard worker - but I didn't find this work here his best. The truth is, the questions Cole asks of HBK maybe aren't 'juicy' enough and sometimes HBK gives a very non-commital vague answer. It's just the nature of the piece.
When the interview section of the disk fails to grab you - and offers precious little new to the documentary we had on the previous HBK three-disk boxset - you've got to think, it's one half of the entire disk running time, and seriously hampers the quality. It's a bit of a shame.
On the other hand... you may be coming to this disk as an HBK virgin. Maybe you don't have any of his other disks and maybe this is your first HBK venture. Then let me encourage you; this is as good a slice as wrestling heaven as a man (or woman!) can attain. You'll thrill to the amazing dynamics of one of the world's best wrestlers. If you don't have his other disks, his story here will be compelling and it'll be interesting to see how you take a burning out fallen superstar and reenergise them into a living legend. Shawn finished in 1998 and his legacy then was of politicking, foolish young man who had flushed his future down the toilet and yet was still so sensational, he'd make anybody's top ten. His 'resurrection' and fairy-tale ending in 2010 is the stuff of legends and made sure that he finished his career in the right way, with the right people and the right respect. Don't come out of retirement now, HBK; what you've done is at the moment, perfect.
Very good DVD Set! Every Match on this DVD Set is entertaining, but who would wonder about this, as they are all HBK Matches.
The Interview parts between the matches are good, and for sure, help to understand the circumstances of the Match following them, but I they could have been a little bit longer...
Every HBK-fan, no, every Wrestling Fan should have this collection at home!
I love this dvd. This shows Shawn Michaels at his best! This should definitely be brought by and HBK fan.
awsome best wrestler ever fact great matches will be missed been a fan for over 15 years shawn good luck but hey one more match taker - micheals wm27? why not end the streak then taker two words game over!!!
In my opinion this is one of the Best WWE DVDS ever made and was brilliant from start to finish. All of the matches on here are brilliant and unlike a lot of wrestling DVDS Shawn was was allowed to speak out of charactor. It's an Awesome DVD set and a Must have for any WWE Fan!

Another HBK DVD that wwe really nailed on. Im glad it wasnt just a bunch of matches like boyhood dream and from the vault, and i was happy that it was a shoot instead of just a repeat of Heartbreak and triumph. Great DVD but i wasnt happy about Micheal Cole interviewing him, it would have been better if it was Jerry Lawler or even JR if he was well enough to do so.
My Journey was very enjoyable and much worth the money i paid for it.
This DVD just makes you appriciate HBK more than ever, to see it all back to back. Truely a legend of the WWE(F) and must buy for any real wrestling fan.

ive been a huge shawn michaels fan since the early 90's, hes the greatest ring performer ever/period, simply because hes THE HEARTBREAK KID, THE SHOWSTOPPER, THE ICON and MR WRESTLEMANIA! i personally cannot wait for this dvd, the heartbreak and triumph dvd was awsome but this dvd has more matches from michaels incredible career. HALL OF FAME 2011 HBK HBK HBK HBK HBK!!
without doubt one of the greatest performers to ever grace a wrestling ring, this really is a great highlight package for shawn michaels' incredible career. from his early days in the awa to his intercontinental title battles and THAT match against the undertaker...it's a great set from probably one of the best ever

Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler to have ever graced a wrestling ring, and this set looks to be the perfect compliment to both his From The Vault and Heartbreak and Triumph DVDs. The matches on here haven't featured on any previous DVDs which i think is always a good thing, and this DVD gives fans of the Heartbreak Kid the chance to follow the Showstoppers career, from his early days in the AWA to his classic encounter with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 25.
Awesome stuff.
Well I am certainly looking forward to the documentary, for the insight. But I doubt that it can surpass the Heartbreak and triumph dvd, which was incredible.
Match list is fairly good, but the newer ones are not exactly rare!!!
I personally cannot wait for this release, I just finished watch Heartbreak and Triumph, which was fantastic. This looks to be more of the same, great price straight off the bat aswell, can't fault it. Match listing looks great, a fair few from RAW in the 90s which will be great to see, the classis European title match with Davey Boy, and some world class matches from the 00s. Any self respecting Shawn Michaels/WWE/Wrestling fan period, need to get this

Completely disagree. If like me you buy the majority of wwe pay-per-views, then you already own a vast majority of the footage on show here. The best match of the his last dvd set was his previously unseen Rockers tag team title match against the hart foundation. Not only was it a great match but also one that was completely new to me. Why I ask do we need another Shawn Michaels DVD set when he has at least three others is beyond me. A Randy Orton or Chris Jericho compilation would make much more sense.
If they are going to feature PPV matches at least feature his standard setting ones. His matches with Mankind at In Your House whatever it was, Diesel at In your House 7, first hell in a cell against undertaker and Ladder Match against Razor Ramon at Wrestlemania 10 were all acclaimed as groundbreaking at the time and none are featured here.... a disappointment.

This looks a very good DVD taking in rare matches along with some classic wrestlemania matches. Shawn Michaels has proved over the years how versatile a performer he can be having fantastic feuds with various wrestlers of different sizes and styles. The fact that in the past few years since his comeback from injury in 2002 he is better than he was before is a credit to the showstopper.
I cannot wait for this title to be released. Shawn Michaels is my all time fave ever! This set looks to be an amazing compilation of the Showstopper's superb career. If you only buy few DVD's, make sure this is one of them!

Shawn Michaels is the greatest performer in wwe history, period!Perhaps no one can match with him when we talk about wrestling skills! However i?m a little disappointed with the match selection for this set why wccw and awa matches,we(we can watch matches like that in his previous dvd set!) wwe fans don?t care about that stuff! we want to see his wwe career, because the wwe made shawn michaels and shawn michaels made wwe!Why his victory in the first ever elimination chamber match is not included here?!I understand the fact that wwe wants to show the lenghth of shawn?s career, but to me and that?s my opinion his jump to the fame began around 1992,1993!With that in mind this set is great but it?s also a wasted opportunity, other matches like Shawn vs Owen Hart(r.i.p.) ,Shawn vs Roddy piper from 1992 i guess should be included!Anyway this looks a very good dvd!Don?t get me wrong i?m a big Shawn Michaels fan,but this set its a disappointment to me!Matches against Psycho Sid?One Man Gang?I mean who cares about these guys they are talentless! Why not a match against Randy Savage? Why not a match against Stone Cold Steve Austin? Why not the first meeting match between Shawn and Bret Hart in 1990?Why not a match against his fellow team mate Marty Jannety from royal rumble 1993?Why not a match against the underrated Tatanka? As you can see this 3 dvd set could be the greatest dvd ever, but unfortunatelly is not! What a crying shame!Still good, but not great!Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler in wwe history and i think he deserves better than this!

This actually looks pretty good, I know Shawn Michaels already has a few DVD's but it's cool to see he's doing special commentary for some of the matches on this one.
Awesome matches on there as well.
