This DVD is great for any WWE fan, Macho Man is one the greats and a true legend.
I really enjoyed seeing Macho Man in his WCW career as i never followed him when he left as i only followed him in WWE.

I really enjoyed this DVD as Savage retired before i was born and I've seen clips of his work. Should be picked up by old wrestling fans and new wrestling fans who want to see the classic stuff. OHHH YEAHH you should pick it up.

I had been meaning to buy this for a while, but this particular offer was just too good to miss. A great move from silvervision enabling the fans to purchase this great set to honour one of the greatest superstars of all time! Randy was in my top 5, and still is, This collection is a fitting tribute to the man in any case. I agree with some of the other reviews on here, the presenters are a bit weak and embarrasing, especially when you can blatantly see Maria reading her cue cards. A simple narration would have sufficed, from someone like mean gene. But that aside, this is an amazing collection of some truly classic events, its all on here. I love the real early stuff, from the dark basic ring set ups in madison square garden and the boston garden, to glamorous settings of the wrestlemania's that randy competed in. A real treat for fans of wrestling, and fans of randy too.
Every match is presented in entiterty too, also great to see stuff from the uk tour and wcw days. I got goosebumps and a little teary eyed during the manai title wins of 4 and 8, I truly believe that late 80's early 90's period was the best era it will NEVER be as good as that again. Sheer entertainment. Do yourselves a favour and buy this. I love it. 5 Stars! RIP Randy, thanks for the memories and the madness. OHHHHH YEEEEAAHHH !
I Have watched this dvd set 2 times over the last few days, I have cryed a little bit during his interviews on it, it is defo 1 of the best dvd sets ever. RIP Macho Man Randy Savage

For any new wrestling fan of today this is a dvd you need to buy to see a true legend work his magic in the squared circle compared to todays product and talent. He had geat in ring ability (high flyer, mat wrestler or out and out brawler) plus he was great with his promos and very flashy. Not to mention his 5 star matches with the likes of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior plus his first title reign in the famous WWF championship tournament 14 man single elimination event and WrestleMania 4
True the presenters of the dvd make no sense but that takes nothing away from the quality of matches that ONLY the Macho Man could bring.
RIP Macho Man Randy Savage

Fantastic DVD but the presenters are rubbish. Macho man was a legend in his own time and before this dvd he was completely overlooked by wwe. Wwe should give the fans what they want which is more merchandise connected to the macho man.
this 3 disc set has nearly everything great matchs great extras but why oh way did they get two of the most stupid and not funny people to present it? They were as fake as they come in my opinon could they have had some ex commentator like mean jean just would have made more sence to me.
The macho man has been there and done it bought the t-shirt and these dvds show it, if your a fan of the macho man at this price its a must buy

Randy Savage was an ultra-athletic, fearless and extremely talented worker during his prime (1985-1991). In fact during the late 80s he was probably in the top 5 best in the world. Would WWE acknowledge this in a 3-disc set spanning Savage's WWF and WCW career?
Well...in a way. The fact that this set was produced with no involvement from the man himself doesn't bode well, never mind the baffling inclusion of Matt Striker and Maria (of all people) as presenters of what is basically an anthology of Savage's greatest matches.
Which is why it's fortunate that so many of them are fantastic. Of course there are the obvious choices (his WrestleMania scraps with Ricky Steamboat, Ted DiBiasie, Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior and Ric Flair) mixed up with some lesser-known but very enjoyable battles (a thrilling pre-Mania 3 rumble with Steamboat, a cracking Cage collision with DiBiase and a choice 1992 clash with the-then up-and-coming Shawn Michaels). As late as 1994 Savage proved he still had it in a neat little Monday Night Raw match with the enormous Yokozuna (admittedly marred by the non-finish). Midway through disc 3 the match quality slips and unfortunately ends with the best-forgotten Savage/Sid Vicious vs. Sting/Kevin Nash WCW title match from Bash At The Beach 1999. Of course there is no mention of Savage's 2004 run in TNA; we are just left to assume Savage ended his career on top in WCW in 1999. The extras consist of several Savage interviews that highlight how charismatic and at times unintelligible he could be on the mic.
All gripes aside this is a must for any Savage fan - it is by no means a complete burial a la The Self-Destruction of The Ultimate Warrior. In fact it's a must for a fan of wrestling in general who is curious about one of WWE's most unfairly-forgotten legends.

This DVD was produced without the involvement of Savage himself meaning there is no documentary on Savage's career or no links provided by the man himself.Instead the links are provided by the curious pairing of Matt Strikker and Maria. While both presenters seem at ease and share a good level of banter, and remember Striker is a self-admitted wrestling nerd, there really is'nt enough of a serious tone to properly carry the tone of a career spanning set.saying that it does give Strikerthe chance to return to his days as Matt Dtryker in 3PW. The set completely ignores Savage's pre WWF days and instead kicks off with his entertaining debut against "Quick Draw" Rick McGraw. Two good matches from the Boston Garden are included, tho both have the same finish which is a frustrating inclusion. a match against Bruno Sammartino is of good value as are bouts against Hulk Hogan including their WrestleMania clash. And yes the very good but overated WM 3 match is included here too. The very enjoyable SummerSlam 88 main event is here. Hogan Vs Savage from The Main Event seems to have only taken place to highlight Buster Douglas. The Savage/Sherri Vs Rhodes/Sapphire match is best skipped over. Far better is the feud with Jake Roberts which includes the still chilling angle involving the snake.Their good brawl from This Tuesday In Texas(a PPV which will probably never recieve a release) is a welcome inclusion.Stunning WrestleMania matches against Ric Flair and The Ultimate Warrior round off disc 2. Disc 3 starts off with a bang,a very good bout against Shawn Michaels and, rightly described as a gem of a match, the fantastic Flair/Michaels Vs Savage/Bret Hart.Following this Savage drags the barely mobile Yokozuna too a passable match from Monday Night Raw.From there it's on to WCW with a very good match against Ric Flair from Bash at the Beach, ignore the bizzare location and silly stipulation, and Monday Nitro. Savage is in full on psycho mode from a great brawl against DDP. sadly the set ends on a bum note with a poor tag team match for the WCW title. A ridiculous stip(Sting could pin Nash aswell(!)),a botched setup to the finish and a typically rubbish showing from Sid make this a missable affair.
Extras: the extras from Discs 1 and 2 seem to have been placed on the wrong discs.the wedding of Savage and Elizabeth coincides with the timeline of the second disc and vice versa.disc 3 contains some terrific Savage promos.Best are the early ones with Gene Okerlund, especially those involving props(Creeam of the Crop,Cuppa' Coffee) as his very amusing Tuesday Night Titans skit.
Overall:Despite any involvement from Savage and suspect presenting, this set contains some terrific matches, most of which are new to DVD,making this a fantastic must have set.

a good dvd but not great the hosts are not good at all but still if tou are a macho man fan you will like this
Despite the bad presenting skills of matt striker and maria, this dvd is in my oppinion the second best wwe has made so far (behind only the history of the intercontinental championship). Here is a collection of some of the finest wrestling matches you will ever see and proof that Randy Savage deserves to be in the hall of fame. It is as close as you will get to a complete career overview of Savage. The only thing that could have made it better was to include his memphis cage match with jerry lawler and leave off his match against Bruno Sammartino and one of his matches against Ric Flair.
The key matches here are his bouts against Tito Santana, Rick Steamboat, Ted Dibease , Hulk Hogan and The ultimate Warrior.
I love this DVD. Macho Man is such a great proformer and watching all these classic matches is great, my favourites being vs Ted Dibiase at WrestleMania 4, vs Shawn Michaels from UK Rampage 92 and vs Ultimate Warrior from WrestleMania 7. A must buy for any WWE Fan.
when this came out i was looking forward to it but i too think it should have been hosted by someone of his era and i prefer the superstars dvds to have interviews by the wrestler and not to just jump from match to match.example, bret hart and shawn micheals and hhh all were in theres,i prefer them

i was really excited when i heard this macho man dvd set was being produced. but when i looked at the list of matches i was a little disappointed,as i own every wwf/wwe ppv and every nitro/thunder and wcw ppv.basically i have most of whats on here.i purchased it anyway to add to my ever exspanding wrestling dvd collection and was pleasantly suprised by the bonus features on it,i dont own any of the episodes of prime time wrestling or superstars or saturday nights main event so this footage was new to me and exciting to watch.also the one match iv been after for years, which has previously been unreleased as it was only spoke about slightly on the jake roberts dvd,is the this tuesday in texas match against jake roberts. all in all i really enjoyed watching this dvd,it was excellent to have all the matches in 1 set instead of having to go through dvd after dvd.i would have liked to see his wrestlemania 10 falls count anywhere match on here against crush,it was a quality encounter.the worst part about the dvd is matt strikers crap attempt at savages voice.it gets worse as the dvd goes on,i cant fault maria as she is sooo fine ha ha. this dvd should have been hosted by someone from randys era ... maybe ted dibiase,or steamboat (as macho man, hogan and flair arnt on good terms at the moment i dont think) matt striker aside this is an awesome collection,a must have for a wrestling dvd collector. 8/10
Brilliant DVD. I've watched all three discs over a dozen times, watching the matches and the classic interviews. However my only problem with the DVD is that there aren't many WCW matches on it, apart from that it is a must have for all wrestling fans.
This is an amazing collection which really show you what a great and inspiring wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage was.
Some of the all time greatest matches in wrestling history are on this set. Here are the stand out matches on the set.
Randy Savage vs. Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat - Wrestlemania III - 10/10
Randy Savage vs. Ted Dibiase - Wrestlemania IV - 9/10
Randy Savage & Hulk Hogan vs. Ted Dibiase & Andre The Giant - Summerslam 88 - 9/10
Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan - Wrestlemania V - 10/10
Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior - Wrestlemania VII - 10/10
Randy Savage vs. Ric Falir - Wrestlemania VIII - 9/10
Randy Savage vs. Diamond Dallas Page - The Great American Bash 97 - 9/10
Matt Striker and Maria do a good job of telling the storylines and introducing the matches which makes the collection of matches even better.
I didn't no much about Randy Savage (because he was a bit before my time) and how good a carrer he's had but after watching this collection i can understand why he is one of the all time greats.
Overall one of the standout superstar collections available and is definately worth the money for any Macho Man fan and wrestling fans in general.
It Needed more WCW match's because he did have some good 1's & why not put in his 1st wcw title win tht's jst silly not 2.
but other then tht gd dvd
I waitet for a Macho Man DVD set for, not really expecting to ever hold it in my hands, since Randy Savage seemed to be on very bad terms with WWE. Well, seems that not all bridges are burned and here it is.
The collection of matches is good and covers the most important stations of his carear. Since Savage was one of the top in ring performers of the 80's and early 90's (at least regressing in the mid to late 90's) most of the matches are fun to watch. And thanks tp the fact, that the Macho Man was excluded from most DVD sets in the past even fans with a bigger collection will not find too many matches they allready have. WWE did a good job on picking the matches.
On the other hand they did not do a good job picking the hosts. Why they chose Maria and Matt Striker...no one will ever know. But appart from some facts on Randy Savage some newbies might not know Matt and Maria fail every time they try to be funny plus the DVD could have used a lot more interviews and in-ring and backstage footage to show the history of the matches.
I really miss a documentation but I hope that if this DVD is a commercial succes we get a "Definitive Collection" in addition to this "Ultimate Collection" like we got for Ric Flair.

Excellent content, but it has some serious flaws which retracts GREATLY from the score.
- occasional "generic" music replaces original music of some opponents
- I would have liked more of a buildup to the matches included - Interviews, footage and such
- Bleeping out "WWF", whenever spoken.
- no documentary - unforgivable
- Worst presenters ever. I cannot emphasize this enough - they suck big time! Should have got Gene Okerlund or some other person that could treat the material with respect - unforgivable.

fantastic one of the greatest of all time, a brilliant line up of matches some rarley seen. The only down side is a lack of comentry from wwe talent old and new instead you get mat striker who savage impersonation wears thin after the first hour and maria with her pro elizabeth slant. Still the matches are awsome the special features are good only misses out on one more star cause there is no macho man himself well worth it and have been watching it for days.

amazing dvd 5 stars love it
I had been waitin for years for this dvd to come out for the greatest wrestler never to be inducted into the hall of fame, A three dvd set of all his best matches including the greatest wrestlemania match with ricky steamboat, the only let down is no interviews with the man himself or with the people he wrestled, i would definatley tell anyone who is a fan to get this but if Savage is inducted next year I think another release should definatly be on the cards and would have more background and interviews to make this the total package 8 out of 10 for me
This is 1 collection I have personally been waiting for, for many years. I was disappointed with the hosts, also the lack of interviews. Although i am glad WWE finally released a collection of Macho Man greatest matches, i do think they could have selected more from Randys reign as champion during 1988 and some matches during his feud with Jake the snake, the fact that Elizabeth has passed away was'nt even mentioned and no special segment was made of her.
Great, though the lack of wcw matches and actual input from randy himself are the 2 big let downs

I, like many fans waited years for Vince MacMahon to allow a release DVD charting the career of in my mind the greatest wrestling superstar of the 1980's. He is my favorite Wrestler and I was extatic when I recieved the dvd in the post.
There are an excellent set of matches plus special features to view as well. A wonderful special feature is the "Match Made In Heaven" at Summer Slam 1991 when Randy Savage wed the late Miss Elizabeth. Hopefully Vince will induct them both into the Hall Of Fame because they should have been in there years ago.
I've given it 4 stars because the DVD is hosted by Matt Striker and Maria- if this was a Generic WWE DVD fair enough but it should have atleast had input from fellow WWE superstars past and present and not to have Randy himself in the DVD is outrageous. If there was input from WWE Superstars and Randy Savage this DVD would be a phenomenon but by disc 2 I had to switch to chapter selection just to stop hearing the crap dribbling out of the two mediocre and lazy hosts.
Apart from that this is a wonderful DVD for all fans of the high flying Macho Maniac!
Randy Savage was one of the greatest stars of the 80?s and early 90?s and is still one of greatest entertainers in WWE-History. All of his fans had to wait a long time for this DVD-Collection. I enjoy it very much! Great stuff! Oooooooooh yeah!!!
To steal a line from the TNA crowd this DVD was awesome great stuff and the good thing was WWE decided to not bury him like they did with the Ultimate Warrior dvd.
This is a must buy DVD for any Macho Man fan!
this looks like an amazing collection of the macho one's best moments in his wwe career.
id give this 5 stars but the lack of wcw matches lets it down.
Randy Savage is one of my favourite superstar all - time and from the list of matches on this DVD it will be a great DVD.

Finally something for one of the biggest icons of the '80 and '90! Randy Savage has been a great athlete and a very good entertainer. His matches and feuds with Hogan, Warrior, Di Biase and Flair characterized a golden age for wrestling.
Can't wait for this release but it doesn't look like there is a documentary and its a shame theres no interview segments. Savage's interviews were intense. This could be way better if it was released in the style Flair's definitive collection was.
I have wated so long for this one The MACHO MAN is withought a shadow of a dobt one of the all time gratest. He managed to make the WARRIOR look good in thair CLASSIC matchis at Wrestlemania 7 and Summerslam 92 , And lets not forget he had some awsome matchis in WCW oooh yeahhhhhhhh
