King of the Ring 2001 belongs to Kurt Angle, yes he is a Super Hero, you know it that's true, that's damned true!!! Also this PPV looks like a triple main-event night, with the KOTR final match, the street fight match and at last the triple threat match.

Great union between little Spike and Kane who appears as a golden-heart big red monster once again. What a match, too short I think but a classic, and how it's good to see D-von shockslamed by Kane through the table!
Edge vs. Kurt Angle _ 9/10
Jeff Hardy vs. X-Pac _8/10
Great confrontation beyond two of the greatest light_heavyweight wrestlers of all time, X-Pac really kicks ass.
Shane McMahon vs. Kurt Angle _10/10
C.U.L.T. . Shane McMahon is an hardcore competitor, we all know it, but Kurt Angle, I will repeat, is a super hero, fuelled with pure determination, and full of insanity. The path to punishment is here, in the glasses, and more. 10+ /10. See or die.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho _8/10

Invasion is an excelent and unique show, not as amazing as King of the Ring 2001 but I said unique, intense. Every one of those WWF, WCW and ECW superstars keep you going with a lot of unforgettable moments and brawls.

Lance Storm & Mike Awesome vs. Edge & Christian _9/10
Great opening match, it goes fast, with two brutal wrestlers confronted to oe of the greatest team ever, who are shining here this match.
Nick Patrick vs. Earl Hebner _6/10
Funny match, with the coolest special guest referee Mick Foley.
APA vs. Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire _8/10
Great testosterone fight, APA are amazing.
X-Pac vs. Billy Kidman _8/10
Excellent light-heavyweight match one more time.
Raven vs. William Regal _4/10
The feeble match of the night, nothing interesting for me...

. Hardcore Title-Jeff Hardy vs Rob Vam Dam (Crazy match, each trying to outdo the other!)
. Bra & Panties Tag Team Match (You can't really go wrong here, we all win. :D)
. Main Event-10 Man Tag Team Match (This match delivered and then some! Shocking ending to boot, good use of both drama and action, fantastic way to round the PPV off!)

Fantastic PPVs! These are from the era when WWF/WWE was at its strongest with great storylines and for all those hardcore wrestling fans at the time who were aware of WCW and (the original) ECW it was a treat to see the stars from both companies in a WWF ring battling against the WWF superstars.

Worth every penny and sits nicely in anyone's WWE collection.

2 Amazing PPVs, worth every penny just for Kurt Angle vs. Shane and the 10 man tag team match. The Awesome and Storm vs. Edge and Christian tag team match at Invasion was one of the best tag team matches I have seen in a long time. The bra and panties matches is as it should be a very interesting match. The match between the refs is better than most of the WWE comedy skits today and the Jeff Hardy vs. RVD ladder match was one of the best things to come from the hardcore title.

This is a must buy DVD for any WWE fan, 'oh it's true it's damn true'!

I bought this for the Invasion PPV specifically, and I have to say I was surprised with how good it was. My memory of it at the time was of feeling let down, as so many of the WCW main eventers were unavailable. However the show put on was very good. King of the Ring was also worth the purchase on its own, with hints of the WCW invasion being made, and a fantastic match between Shane O'Mac and Kurt Angle.

Another great tagged classic with two great events!In my opinion king of the ring 2001 is the event that concluded the attitude era(though many people claim that the attitude era ended at wrestlemania 17),i mean my theory make sense because the next ppv was the one that started the invasion storyline!Pick this tagged classic ,is that good!

ohh my gosh king of the ring is a very good ppv
angle v shane is so good if you ain t seen it ur missing out u need to watch it.
the main event is really good as well but the ending was a bit diapointing

the two events that act as the building blocks of the wwe vs alliance storyline
king of the ring sees edge rise to the ocassion and show his potential as a singles competitor, the standout match has to be the street fight, even though the triple threat match is cool as well. the undertaker also confronts ddp, after weeks of him stalking sara.
invasion is the first of the wwe vs wcw/ecw ppvs. it features the inaugural brawl match, with the huge shock ending and some nice little matches thrown in here and there, such as the brilliant jeff hardy vs rvd one and the quite entertaining referrees fight!

2001 in wwf was an epic year better than half the rubbish today

While King of The Ring was the starting point of all the things that happened next between the "federations" waging war against each other, the focus point of this DVD should be Invasion. Invasion was the first pay-per-view to feature the ongoing storyline, which featured wrestlers from the WWE taking on a combined force of wrestlers from World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), The idea of a supercard featuring the two top promotions of the Monday Night Wars was considered to be a "dream match" scenario in the eyes of many fans, as it would allow the fans to see which promotion would be kayfabe superior. Also, the angle grew in intensity as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) merged with WCW to form The Alliance and challenged the WWE's control over the wrestling industry.
